What this notice covers

This notice describes how niklasmeads.com collects, uses, and stores information. It applies to anyone who visits the site or submits the enquiry form.

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, and your message. Phone number is optional. We don't ask for anything else.

For everyone who visits the site (form or no form), we collect aggregated analytics: page views, referrer, country, and device type. This is done via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify individual visitors.

We do not use tracking cookies. We do not run third-party advertising pixels. We do not embed Google Analytics or any equivalent tracker.

Why we collect it

The enquiry form data is used only to respond to your enquiry and follow up about booking your event. Analytics data is used only to understand how the site is being found and what people are reading — never to identify or target individuals.

Who processes it

A small number of service providers handle this data strictly for the purposes above:

• Cloudflare — hosts the site, routes the contact email, and provides the cookieless analytics.
• Resend — sends the auto-reply email after you submit the enquiry form and the notification to Niklas.
• Sanity — content management system. It stores the site's content (text, photos), not visitor data.
• Google (Gmail) — Niklas's enquiry inbox. Routed emails land here so he can reply from his usual address.

We don't share your information with anyone outside this list, and never for marketing or sale.

How long we keep it

Enquiry-form submissions are kept indefinitely as an audit log, so Niklas can verify what was received against what was replied to. Rate-limit data (used to prevent form spam, keyed by a hashed IP address — not your IP itself) is kept for one hour and then automatically deleted. Analytics data is aggregated by Cloudflare and not tied to identifiable individuals.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct any of it.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you think we've mishandled your information (privacy.org.nz).
